Back on track

Sat Sep 10, 2005, 4:36 AM
Went and got me a job on a local web-agency downtown. Things are working out great, waiting eagerly for the first paycheck.
The Canon 350D is kinda great too, taking many interesting photographs. Some soon to show i hope.

Thank you, Svenne! My best of wishes for the year 2005!
:iconeilidh:
Thank you, Sven. =)

(though, by the way, is that how they call you? Or fully Sven-Erik? )
:iconsvunnig:
Hard to explain due to differences in lingual nuances, but they call me Svenne. For some reason its customary to chop long names up and add a second consonant followed by an 'e' for boys.
So "Fredrik" becomes "Fredde" and so forth.
For girls it becomes more complex, you can do it in many different ways depending if you like to portray the girl as feminine or masculine in the context.
(For fun you could adopt the feminine way to a guys name too, but that isn't really a good idea if you're not close friends or ready for a brawl) :)
How's everyting?

oh, okay, got it. =)

Things are fine. A bit on the hectic side, but fine. I'm looking forward to a two-day excursion with my tae kwon do class in the end of November, which should be a nice diversion. Other than that... I'm just trying to catch up with everything, particularly the art school classes, for now. It's a little hard to be expected to gather a ton of material/input for a project and then be creative about it; somehow I seem to get involved in depth with whatever I'm looking up, which means I need some time to process it into a creation of my own, which can be pretty frustrating due to the deadlines. If it were simple design, I'd have no problem, but we're sort of expected to do "high-profile" art, or whatever their notion of that is. Anyhow. It's the end of the week and I'm rambling. =)

And how about you?
:iconsvunnig:
Nice to hear that you're still alive considering the circumstances :) Would have budged for less.
I've been totally swamped too, but with no expectations of any high quality work from school. Was stupid enough to accept an offer to make some special effects for a high profiled alcohol company on the side (as if school wasn't enough). A couple of weeks later I realized that somehow I'd gotten a really big beard. But that's all done now, a real relief. Took a cruise with some of my friends to Finland and tried to relive "Fear & Loathing" minus the drugs to forget all the stress.
It really worked, the following weeks I'll be developing my 3d skills, doing a photo-realistic render of a friend (that isn't looking that nice at all for the moment). Time isn't a problem at all this time though.
Tae kwon do you say... how is that working out for you? A hobby, or are you training to be a hired killer on the side? :)
It's time to quit this rambling and make some use of myself. Anyway I'm really grateful that you took time to answer. Always nice to hear from you.
